Lisa and her husband Sam moved to Madison in 1996. Lisa has an undergraduate degree in International Politics from Davidson College and a Masters in French Literature from UT Austin. Lisa and Sam have two adult sons, Henry and Charlie. First, she was a volunteer, then a substitute; in May 2017, she joined the staff full-time as the lead teacher in the two-year-old room. During her time as a lead teacher, Lisa completed courses on Early Childhood education. She also traveled to Anji, China, to complete an AnjiPlay residency program. In the fall of 2022, Lisa became the Assistant Director of the Preschool.
