Ayodeji Ogunniyi

Middle School Principal

Mr. Ayodeji Ogunniyi, comes with over 15 years of education, working in Chicago’s Public schools, Chicago Charter Schools and Chicago suburban school districts. His life's work has been to re-imagine the outcomes of public education for underserved youths so they can have access to a better life than the one they were brought into.  He holds a strong belief that underserved youth can rise to the challenge of academic achievement if given the proper resources. Mr. Ayo, has been serving in education for over 15 years as both a teacher and administrator. As a teacher, he has taught in Title 1 schools. He maintained consecutive distinguished teacher evaluations through data-driven innovative styles of instruction. As an instructional leader,  he's developed  district-wide ELA curriculum, leveraged community partnerships to enhance extracurricular activities for students, and co-developed an innovative multi-tiered mentorship program for “at-risk” students. He has a strong passion for youth culture and is dedicated to increasing the college and career readiness of students in an increasingly globalized economy. Ayo holds a BA in secondary education, a master's in ethical leadership, and a master's in instructional leadership form Concordia College in Chicago.
